Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Because I believe in the potential this site has to help us make friends around the world, and deepen cross cultural understanding. This place motivates me to break out of my shell, and discover the goodness in, and fascinating stories of, people who grew up in different circumstances from my own.
Music, Movies, and Books
Classical, Rock, Metal, Alternative, Alternative Rock, Hans Zimmer, Two Steps from Hell, Audiomachine, Really Slow Motion, Brand X, Interpol, Linkin Park, 30 Second’s to Mars, Maná, Crystal Castles
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I was invited to speak at the United Nations headquarters in New York in 2015 and 2016. I am here to learn about the places I hope to explore, make good friends, and understand the cultures of a variety of European, Asian, African and Oceanian countries.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm happy to teach English and Spanish, read over homework assignments, and teach others about the Dominican Republic. I would also like to improve my French, and share significant life and/or travel experiences with people.
What I Can Share With Hosts
History, experiences living in three very different countries, conversations about current events and history, and language lessons (English and Spanish)
My Interests
Drawing and art in general, writing, reading different kinds of content (especially poetry), playing futbol, visiting museums, sitting down in cafés, singing, going out for walks that progress into meaningful conversations.
