Overview
About Me
Hi! my name is Gabriela. I'm from Mexico and I'm 27 years old.
I studied Art Restoration and decided to start my own family bussiness, a bakery.
I come from a close family where people enjoy all types of art. I grew up visiting museums so I hope I get to work in one museum someday.
I also love to eat and love making desserts , so that is why I also started my own bakery.
I considere myself as a happy person that enjoys life and adapts easily. I love to go out with my friends, but also staying home, quietly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling but, thanks to my not great economy, I haven't been able to do it as often as I'd love to. When I first heard about Couchsurfing, I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to travel without needing huge amounts of money.
Also, I love meeting people from around the world. 8 years ago I went to the United States for the first time as an AuPair. That time I got to meet girls and boys from different countries, so I realized that I wanted to meet as many different people as I can in my life. I think Couchsurfing also gives me the opportunity of meeting locals, so I will be able to embrace new cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like almost every type of music. I have friends with different tastes in music and when they share what they like with me, I love it. I'm really into bands like Sigur Ros, Mew, Radiohead, Muse and those kinds.
Same happens with movies. I like very different types of movies, e.g., Cloud Atlas, Transformers (all of them), Marvel and DC's, Wicker Park, Shutter Island, This is the end, Amelie, The Illusionist, Fight Club, School of Rock, and so many others...
About books, my favorite writers are Stephen King, Agatha Christie and Herman Hesse. I have also read a lot of detective fiction. I grew up reading the "Can you solve the mystery?" series, so I love reading everything that makes me think.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't know if it counts, but being able to get through college with a part-time job was pretty amazing for me.
