I'm a student from Vilnius, Lithuania, interested in many many different things. And so I use my time to discover them as best as I can, which gives me the biggest joy. One of those things is traveling - indescribable experience, without which I wouldn't imagine my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During the last two years, I have already done couchsurfing in Italy, Austria, Morocco and Switzerland but only with my friends' accounts. But it was finally the time to create my own and to experience new amazing journeys!

Interests

As I've already mentioned, I love traveling - especially hitch-hiking. I've already visited most of the European countries and some outside Europe (Israel and Morocco). But this is really not the end - I have a lot of crazy future plans in my head!
Also, I love music, both listening and playing - I've graduated musical school playing cello and piano, but now my main instruments are guitar, bass and drums, with which I've played in few bands.
Also I love dancing - lindy hop (authentic dance jazz) is my own favorite.
I'm really interested in philosophy, history, politics and fine arts (especially impressionism) - these are the spheres that I love to speak, discuss and learn about.
Of course, I could mention plenty of others: reading, painting, photography, skiing and so on - as I've told, I'm interested in many many things!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge fan of classical cinema. The French one (directors like Truffaut, Godard, Bresson), Italian (Fellini, Visconti, De Sica, Bertolucci, Rossellini) and all the others (Hitchcock, Jarmusch, Bergman, Kubrick, Lang, Lloyd, Chaplin, Allen).
The range of my favorite music is really really wide - from plenty types of rock (alternative, britpop, punk, progressive, british invasion, indie, psychedelic) to jazz (mostly authentic) to classical:)
I love to read history and philosophy books (especially the ones of the political philosophy). What concerns literature, I'm a fan of the XXth century: Camus, Orwell, Saint-Exupery, Kafka, Remarque, Hemingway, Hesse are my favorite ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had two grand hitch-hiking trips - both from and back to my home town Vilnius. The first one was to Amsterdam and the second - to Rome. I will never forget them:)

Teach, Learn, Share

It's not a problem for me to discuss about philosophical, historical, political and artistic problems/questions. Also - to show some dance moves or guitar skills. And likewise I'm always up for learning something new!!
