About Me

ABOUT ME

A usually nice and open-minded guy willing to meet new people and places, trying to learn from each little thing and if possible cultivating in my way a bit of peace and love :)

I know this may sound a bit idyllic, and actually it is, as of course it is not the state in which I always am, I'm human! Still, it's my main attitude in life, and I feel I'm improving in many senses in order to reach this way of being.

I study Psychology, but I really want to get to know many different fields (like Taoism, Buddhism, quantic physics, shamanism and many kinds of alternative medicines) so i can reach an holistic approach which will make me able to understand myself and the Universe in a better way, and to develope my capacity of helping other people to find their own harmony.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I think is a way of travelling full of a very new and motivating energy. You can always feel that people around here have got something special related with sharing, exchanging and some kind of curiosity. In my point of view this is is a really incredible step that we as humans are making, trusting this way other people and all in all building together a better World. It's not so difficult! ;)

Interests

I like talking about almost everything, and my interests include people, photographs, local food, cooking, philosophy, phychology, personal developement, spirituality, the political and mental situation of the World, nature, environment, the universe... To be honest, it's not easy to bore me with any topic, as I really want to know about anything possible! :) haha I might say, therefore, I try to live and learn day by day and moment by moment, though some times it's not easy.
Furthermore, I'm really beginning to understand the importance of being humble enough to see that every single person has got something very special of which I can learn. We are all mirrors of each other, so what better way for seeing and getting to know ourselves than by meeting new and interesting people which will make new parts of ourselves emerge? ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like many kinds of music, preferably if not comercial. I love for example jazz, blues, flamenco, cuban music, cumbia, classic rock, african etnographic music and mantras.

I love watching movies, but to be honest rarely do I find time to watch them. So many things I wanna do always! Nevertheless, when I watch a movie I really get into it and enjoy it. I really love all the Hayao Miyazaki's movies (Ghibli Studio). I usually enjoy a lot too alternative movies which show you real things that are taking place in the World, further than the bubble in which we are bounded. Furthermore, I like a lot as well some classicals such as Amelie, Into the Wild, Fight Club, American Beauty, the Pianist, the Tree of Life, Pulp Fiction and Trainspotting.

Regarding books, I really love reading. Unfortunately, the situation is similar to movies; I don't find as much time as I would like to read all the book I have in mind. When I was little, I enjoyed a lot reading novels, such us Harry Potter. These last years I've focused much more in self-help books, from many different perspectives. The one which has left the biggest footprint in me until now is "Peace is in every Step", written by the Zen Buddhist Thich Nhat Hanh. Highly recommended to all those people who really want to go further than our usual mental suffering states and find that inner peace which makes us able to build and enjoy life here and now, in each smily and peacul step. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Get to the top of the highest mountain of the Peninsula Iberica (Mulhacen) with my family :P

Playing the guitar with my friends in a square in my city (Granada) with beatiful views to the Alhambra and the whole city in an amazing sunny day for 10 hours without stopping even to eat. What a trip! hahah

Walking with a friend at night through the deserted streets of Venice.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can try to teach to play the guitar, some meditation techniques, some Spanish recipes or maybe some Spanish or English (though this second one not that much haha) :)

Learn? Whatever you want to teach me! Live is short and none knowledge is enough to understand how things really are! Life-long learning is my Phylosophy ;)
