About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore remote areas, meet people, have dinner and fun!
ABOUT ME
Well, I will keep it short. My father was in the US diplomatic corps so I grew up in Tokyo(1947-1952), then Bangkok for 2 years and Frankfurt for 3 years where I finished high school. Travel with all the great new experiences it gives is my passion. I have incurable wanderlust and I sense I am among like-minded people on this site. How cool is that?!
PHILOSOPHY
Number one is to follow the Golden Rule, treat others as you would like to be treated. That's THE most important thing in life I believe. Other than that, eliminate the word "old" from your vocabulary, otherwise you're going to start to think and feel that way! Take it from a guy who is officially now a senior, I see it in too many elderly people and I'm not one of them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't stayed with many but all have been fabulous. I think this is going to be fun and I will surely get more involved.
Interests
Talking and sharing life experiences with just about anybody. I mean I just love to get into discussions about anything: travel stories, music, politics, personal opinions(I respect all and enjoy a friendly, intellectual give and take),dreams and aspirations. You name it, I'm there!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not a huge movie fan, maybe a few a year. Too much mayhem and violence and I don't need that kind of entertainment. If I want to be entertained I'll read a good book. I love TV documentaries on any subject: history, travel,Discovery, TLC, National Geographic Channels. Stuff like that. Music, I like the Eagles and many kinds of rock, some C&W, oldies. Pretty wide range including classical, when it's needed, know what I mean?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, I was a US Army Paratrooper for 2 years, that was pretty exciting. And my brother is a well known rock photographer in LA, in fact the official Woodstock photographer in 1969, so I've met and hung out with a lot of musicians and groups backstage. That's always fun and interesting.
