My name is Garyk Simpson, I grew up in Fernie, BC. I graduated high school in 2010, decided I didn't really know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, so I waited a year to apply for University, when I did, I got in to the University of Lethbridge in their Digital Audio Arts program (Music Production), but, if we're being honest here, I wasn't responsible enough for university just yet, I liked going out to the bars more than studying, and eventually that caught up with me, and I didn't get in for a second year.

After that I waited another year and decided I wanted to move to New York City, I found another music production program that interested me at a little place called Dubspot. It was really sweet for learning cool stuff and meeting sweet people, but unfortunately most places won't accept a degree from Dubspot on your resume haha.

I was in New York for just over 5 months, and it was one of the best times of my life, I lived in a high class 2 bedroom apartment on Wall Street with just under 30 roommates (yes, it was completely illegal haha), and I was still paying $740 a month in rent, but I met some of the coolest people there and I will always remember them.

After I got back from NYC I stayed another winter in Fernie (there's a great ski hill here, so why wouldn't I?) And after that I moved to Vancouver Island for the summer, worked part time, and did some hitchhiking around the island, but eventually came back to Fernie again for the winter, and now here I am, looking to do another summer adventure.

I'm planning on doing a hitchhiking trip through the USA starting in July, and I would love to meet some new people (and have some places to stay haha) along the way!

On my own time I listen to Rock (Manchester Orchestra, Arctic Monkeys, Etc.), some Hardcore (Pierce The Veil, In Fear and Faith) and some Rap.

When I go out I like me some pretty heavy Electro (HAEZER, Far Too Loud, Savant Etc.)

I'm also into some pretty nerdy fantasy novels like The Malazan Book of the Fallen series.
