An Australian setting up shop in Silicon Valley, California! I'm a software engineer by trade, with a zest for exploring, travelling, meeting new people and picking up challenges that test my limits.

I grew up in what seems now like a pretty homely town of Brisbane, QLD Australia where I went to school and studied at University of Queensland. I got my first taste of loving the vibe of fellow travelers and their passion for life during my student exchanges there - studying at Singapore, Canada, & Austria. It's through the community that I've met along the way that expired me to dream beyond the familiar ground of my Australian residence and chase enterpreneurial dreams in this technology Mecca in which I now live.

I'm a person who isn't scared to try new things and make a fool of myself if it's what the journey calls for! I've trained to be professional golfer, been a corporate musician (a pop band drummer), a real estate enterpreneur, a business analyst and both electrical and software engineer. But beyond what I am paid to do; I am a tennis player, a dancer, a runner, a cyclist, a crossfit junkie and a surfer.

I live by the principal of living life of minimal regrets. Be healthy. Be Kind. Be adventurous. Never stop dreaming.

I've been thinking about ways to give back to the community. After working hard in Silicon Valley and establishing my career here, I've found that I've desired to do things that feel rewarding by helping others and building connections through sharing.

I used to try to fill this need by volunteering, but found it to be less rewarding because I always knew that if I didn't show up, someone else would. But by helping those I come directly in touch with, to help build the experience and provide the shelter to make someone's travel journey worthwhile - it excites me so much more to be able to help be of service in a way that will matter and not be forgotten.

Intereses

Things that get me active and moving are both fun and nourishing for my mind & body. I love getting out there, forming teams, meeting new people; though I'm also an extroverted introvert - so a quiet night in, getting lost over enjoying a meal and talking about anything under the sun is equally enjoyable.

Música, películas y libros

Music: Usually things I can dance to, or singalong! My go-to favorite has been Uptown Funk - Bruno Mars.

I've loved band music too - Paramore, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus. Have a perhaps peculiar predilection to Hamilton soundtracks and other musicals too.

Movies: I'm a little bit of a Marvel sucker. I love Tom Hanks movies & Leonardo Di Caprio. Lately, Free Guy has been a surprisingly pleasant memory for me!

Books: I'm a non-fiction kind of guy. Sapiens and Homo Deus were both sensational; think Bill Gates reading list kind of stuff.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Rode my bike from SF to LA within 6 months of getting a bike! Had not taken riding seriously before.

I've also been in a world record - biggest game of twister ever played. I won't take much credit for this one :p.

Not looking to couchsurf myself right now, but I can be a fun spirit in travel, being a buddy to come along in anything that might intimidate people! I'm usually game for a thrill and a challenge :)
