Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a freelancer I'm not yet earning enough to support myself, barely clearing 2k last year. As such I can't afford hotels when I travel. Fortunately however I am a very low maintenance guest with little requirements outside of a place to rest my head and wash, which is mainly what I am looking for.

mainly indulge in indie rock, some faves include: Neil Young, Radiohead, Explosions in the Sky, Low, Pixies, Kraftwerk, Hop Along, Screaming Females, Talking Heads, LCD Soundsystem, Car Seat Headrest...generally also like classic rock, experimental, electronic...less versed in but partial to a bit of folk, jazz, hip hop and classical

Filmwise into everything from world cinema to indie dramas, documentary and horror. Faves include: Paris Texas, Badlands, In The Mood For Love, Dazed and Confused, Waking Life, Slacker, Rocky Horror, The Wicker Man, American Werewolf In Paris, The Future, Seventh Seal, any Lynch/Kubrick/Hitchcock/Aranofsky etc.

some o my favourite books are The Beach by Alex Garland, The Unconsoled by Kazuo Ishiguro, The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, The First Bad Man by Miranda July, Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clark and the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov. Always looking for recommendations!
