About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Last summer I took another bucket list trip to re-discover islands like Rhodes, Corfu, and Athens, 8 days London, brief stints in Bristol, Milan, Marseille, Paris, San Fran Fleet Wk/Castro Fair. Isn't it interesting how something new to me so often seems visionary? This all gels interestingly: Blue Star Ferries, Isilines, Ryanair, Ease Jet and Flixbus
Right now I am looking forward to 2019 and no bucket list travel and no accompanying strange tunnel effect.

ABOUT ME

Single male living separately, reflectively surviving the 70's humorously taking victory laps to the ridiculous.
I prefer travelling to places I've visited. I enjoyed hanging in some really great cities always coming home to my Carolina place to repair and enjoy. Nearby I visit the western NC mountains and for the coast, Charleston, SC. Formerly I considered myself extremely well travelled but nowadays with easy flights, travel's common place.
I did myself a favor and got a good education, no dumbing down or knaw-ledge derision, love of learning required, Socratic dialogue a plus. Socratic dialogue -discussion of pertinent phenomena in reality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed in Turnham Green London and had a couple of stunning near misses in Athens and Royal Wharf, London. Aw shucks. I think surfing's incredible and anticipate the multitude of aspects.

Interests

I like restaurants and dining but have only been to Ted's, Houstons, The Colonnade, Harvey's, Dave & Busters, and Poppy's -Spitalfield's. I enjoy gardens and botanic preserves like the Phoenix Desert Gardens, which I declined entry, Huntington LA, or Ralston Arboretum Raleigh NCSU. A real museum and historic preservation geek, I attended the school of the Louvre Museum a year. My visits to museums continue only mildly subdued. Most recently: The Tate Britain, The National Gallery, The Tate Modern, The V & A, The Acropolis Museum, National Gallery UK, and British Museum.
I spend my time vacationing from my approaching vacation, travelling/visiting hook ups. I worked some at society decorators Parish-Hadley and CNN -Atlanta.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my 49th birthday I walked the Grand Canyon, to Plateau Point river overlook. I've visited the tomb of the Cheops Pyramid near Giza, Egypt, I'm too claustrophobic. I've walked across the Golden Gate Bridge some birthdays. I liked visiting San Gregorio Beach, Cal. and the Russian River. I've dined with the Governor of the Punjab;p
I've bumped into Jackie and Ari one twilight overlooking the East River, and Liz & Richard at Carnegie Hall. And I've seen Roseanne Barr onstage singing in panties and a on a cruise liner. and chatted with Tony Bennett at SFO, chortled with Jerry Seinfeld, and shook hands with Heston at the Hollywood parade.
Last summer I visited Cap d'Agde naturist compound. southern France. The apt. was an incredibly fabulous find, the naturist camp unbelievable. I found a new recreation espression in the Med.
I went to a Beatles concert when they came to Fulton Co. stadium;)

Teach, Learn, Share

Explain what this means. My experience is rather burnished but the sheer number of destinations averaged in this website, places visited, staggering.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My deep and abiding knowledge of N. Carolina as a native and of the area. I am somewhat of a non sequiter living here since it is so formal and comformist. I have lived much of my life here in addition to the travel. But more than imagine I read the phrase "quit my job and went on a travel binge". I have a page of fascinating details of what and where for the area from Carowinds, Concord Mills to Forty Acre Rock. I am open to giving help and offering the worth of my experience to all who would benefit;) I enjoy naturism and buff moments as when visiting Haulover Beach, Sitges, Ibiza, Hanlan's Point Ont., San Gregorio, Land's End, and Libertine Beach of Cap d'Agde.

Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Luxembourg, Morocco, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom
