Am George Owoyesigire, Ugandan Conservationist and owner of Kaikusa Hill Lodge is strategically located near Kibale National Park along the Kamwenge-Fort Portal Highway. It is 7kms south of the chimpanzee viewing site at Kanyanchu Tourist Centre. The Lodge is accessible by a well maintained track from Bigodi Trading Centre all year round. The track to the Lodge winds through the forest and village to the top of Kaikusa Hill where a scenic view of the snow-capped Mountains of the Moon, the Rwenzoris greets the visitor. Kaikusa Hill also overlooks the tropical rain forests of Kibale National Park and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. There is an elevated platform for visitors has been constructed at the Lodge to enhance the viewing experience of this delightful panorama.

The four self-contained Detached Cottages, each 25sq m, have comfortable queen beds, en-suite facilities and verandas with table & chairs.

Tracking the great apes - Chimpanzees in Kibale National Park and Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Also swimming in Lake Victoria, fishing on L. Albert where I caught the rare electric fish
