About Me

Hey there! My name is Gerard. I'm currently living in Barcelona, but I was born and raised in a small town in the nearby. I am planning to travel around our lovely planet for a loong while.
During my university years, I had the amazing chance to live in China and I have to say this was one of the most interesting and life-changing places I have ever been in; highly recommendable!

I consider myself an aquatic guy (although I get cold very quickly): I love swimming, kayaking, sailing or any water-related activity. I also enjoy a lot writing (another writer-to-be, cliché!) and listening to people's stories. Exotic food, music and, of course, traveling, complete the podium of my personal hobbies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet new, interesting and challenging people. You can learn a lot from people when you live with them. I am also on Couchsurfing because I think it's a good way to get to know the local people, to learn even more about the places, their lifestyle, etc.
Friends and family tell me faboulous things Couchsurfing, so le'ts give it a try!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job in order to find a life-style that fits me better. I know that this may sound something "standard", but I see it as a total adventure. Let's see where it leads to.

Teach, Learn, Share

We all can learn something about someone new. Everybody has something to teach! I can teach you Spanish, or help you improve your swimming skills, or help you with groceries shopping, whatever goes. I am willing to share my knowledge and learn from yours!

What I Can Share with Hosts

What can I share? Actually I don't know what to answer here, I'm optimistic and very active (especially when travelling). So I guess I can share my happiness, optimism and curiosity for new and interesting things.
Of course, I will be happy to cook Spanish and Catalan dishes for you if you want to!
