About Me

I was born in San Antonio, TX but spent most of my upbringing in Japan, Germany, and Virginia. I ended up in Texas again to complete High School and go to college. I love all types of music but particularly like Rock and older Rap and R&B. I coach at a fitness gym so I absolutely love to workout. My favorite activities are boxing, kickboxing, hiking, and running. I also love to relax to a good book, hangout at cafes, and practice cooking. I'm not too big of a partier anymore so you'll find me most days getting up early, finding a trail, running a 10k in downtown Austin, or working at one of my many jobs. I'm huge on personal finance and right now I've taken on the ambitious goal of being completely debt free (house and everything) by April 2019. I LOVE meeting new people, visiting different countries, and learning new cultures. I believe that there is no better path to humility than through travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm typically a very private person when it comes to my space but I've had great experiences meeting new people and getting outside of my comfort zone to mingle with new people. I am looking to develop meaningful relationships worldwide while getting an opportunity to explore and learn new places. I am a SUPER considerate guest, clean, and respectful of my surroundings.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love some great melodic and heavy rock! It helps me with my workouts and I have the most fun at rock concerts. But I appreciate so many different genre's of music. I love ALL kinds of movies, but mainly Thrillers, Horrors, and Inspirational Dramas. I'm an avid reader so during the day I'm either listening to a Non-fiction book on Audible, reading books about personal finance, or reading fictional adventure style books before bed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In that last 3 years I'm so proud of making it to all three summit points of Kilimanjaro and camping out in the Serengeti. Last year 2017 I got the opportunity to trek in Peru for 5 days to end up in Macchu Picchu and climb up Huayna Picchu.

Teach, Learn, Share

I currently coordinate a class called Financial Peace University where I help teach people the importance of paying off debt, establishing a savings, investing, and building wealth. To simplify, I enjoy helping people discover financial freedom so that they can build wealth and give back. I LOVE to learn new things. I believe in the motto that you can always learn something from somebody else. I want to learn about people, places, and food through my couch surfing experiences. When it comes to sharing, I love sharing great stories over a shared table with a home cooked meal while sharing laughs and a bottle of wine. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my Texas charm. As stated previously, I'm very respectful of a persons space and keeping things clean where I stay. I love to help out whether it comes to going shopping, cooking in the kitchen, cleaning, etc. To my host, I can be content with going off to do my own thing when I visit or I'm open to share in your adventures
