Hello everyone.
My name is Gereon
(I will teach you how to pronounce it) or you can call me Gerry as well.

Recently left Germany and planing to move to Cyprus around September this year to settle there more permanently.

Before that I am planning a short three weeks visit in Cyprus from the 16th of March until the 7th of April to get to know the country and the people a little , so happy to meet .

After that I am off to east Asia and China until August or September this year.

Currently I am also founding a gardening and landscaping company and financial consultant company and a digital marketing agency in Germany and Dubai so if you have experience in that field happy to meet as well.

I traveled extensively in the past and also lived abroad in various countries , so I can manage on my own as well and I am more looking to meet people and soak up the culture of the country rather than getting travel advices.

What particularly interests me are any cultural events or traditions or customs that I may be a part of but I am also happy to just sit somewhere and drink a coffee or tea and talk about life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me its an opportunity to crash into the life of people for a few days. Experience there daily life, culture and traditions.
Normally you need to be friends for some time to get invite to stay at there house and my experience is, that you have this kinda welcoming and familiar feeling so soon when you stay with someone from Couchsurfing and it often felt so quick like home or meeting and old friend.
It also keeps traveling way more interesting for me and I learned a lot of things I would never know without this great people.

Interests

My interests are any kind of sport (preferably MMA, but the rest is fine too) outdoor stuff(mainly hiking) culture, traditions, art, food and, music.
In general I like a good mixture of everything.

I started Scuba diving recently and I will definitely do a lot more.

On top of that I like to learn about religions, businesses (especially start ups), new technologies, politics, alternative lifestyles.

I am not into shopping in big malls and I prefer to use less not necessary things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : Hip Hop, Rap, House, electro, club, Latin or what ever sounds good and I will just download it on Spotify.

Kinda got a fable for Podcasts recently ranging from finance over to women rights, politics, medicine or whatever sounds tempting.

Became a Buddhist monk
Learned Kun Khmer in Cambodia and wrote a research paper about it.
7500km on a Motorbike in Vietnam and Laos
Managed to get off the beaten track in Thailand (its hard but possible)
Hari Raya celebration in Malaysia (managed to eat for 5 days all day...)

My cooking skills are kinda limited, but I am good at helping.
