My name is Gesa and I'm 18 years old. I'm from a small town in the southern part of Germany. I just graduated high school and right now I´m doing a gap year in which I will be traveling to Australia and New Zealand with one of my friends. I'm an open minded person and love to meet people from all over the world. I come from a rather small family since I only have one younger sister who is 16 years old. I have always liked languages so three years ago I participated in an exchange program with Uruguay, it was an unforgettable experience, I was able to improve my spanish skills and I became more independent. After this great experience I decided to spend half a year in the United States of America. I had a very nice host family, I really felt like part of it and I got the chance to immerse myself in such a different country and culture. About my working experience, during the summer holidays I helped my father out at his office, it wasn’t the most interesting work and I had to be in a factory for many hours but I still enjoyed it and I had the chance to earn some money. I love being outdoors and spending time in nature, especially with my friends. I used to practice tennis weekly and I often go to the gym. I'm a very active person ready to take on any challenge. I consider myself a very open minded and adaptable person. I’m seeking for new adventures and I want to gain as many new impressions as possible by for example meeting new people through couch surfing. I hope I can make many beautiful memories and get to know wonderful people from all over the world!
