About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I have just started a hilariously disorganised and underfunded 8month trip starting in Copenhagen and travelling to Myanmar, will be going overland across Russia, flying from Vladivostok to Hong Kong and winging it from there...wish me luck and laughter! When not travelling I live in a wonderful housing coop called Bug in Brighton, UK.
ABOUT ME
I love a good giggle, and attempting to amuse others in turn. Like Jim Carey with more of a snorting laugh, and a totally different face.
Though I can be thigh slappingly silly I am capable of being serious. I worked as a project officer for a Feminist Organisation, and have volunteered with various charities because I believe very strongly in making society fairer for all, and feel that the feminist fight is a good way to get there 'a rising tide gathers all boats'.
I love talking about all sorts of things, and more than happy to engage with your views, experiences and ideas.
I have been described as relaxed and easygoing, and find most things fascinating and curious, there's intrigue all around eh?
Voracious reader and occasional writer of poetry and short stories. I have two very much abandoned blogs.
I like cycling but don't have a bike, go figure.
I am friendly, generous and love a good chat.
PHILOSOPHY
Get stuck in, chat to everyone, don't pre-judge others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am not offering my couch currently as am travelling. Have delighted in hosting and being hosted!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In 2010 when I moved to Berlin for some months I couchsurfed and adored it, finding it a great way to make a network in a city in which I didn't know anyone. Have stayed friends with several people I met there.
When I lived in Canterbury I hosted individuals and took them out and about in the area, cooked sociable communal dinners and helped them experience the vibes of living in Canterbury. Really good fun, and wonderful to give others some warm hospitality.
Over Summer 07' I couchsurfed in France and Italy, which was excellent, I met soo many wonderful people and really got to experience their unique and always interesting lifestyles! Thank you to everyone!
