Overview
About Me
I'm a singer-songwriter (think bastard love-child of Ani Difranco, Nine Inch Nails and Monty Python), have had a healing practice for 28 years (lordy, am I really that old?)- modalities: myofascial release, craniosacral, breathwork, primal, family constellations, energy work... you get the picture.
Conscious dance facilitator, run women's retreats with an emphasis on helping people connect with their internal authority through process work, rewilding and earth skills. Cofacilitate mixed Rewilding groups with my husband and we also run family Rewilding camps (check out Bluegum Bushcraft).
All that means is that I spend most of my time holding space for people in various ways.
In my 20's and 30's I've flown helicopters and a dual control fighter jet (ridiculously awesome fun), ridden motorbikes, windsurfed, freedived and generally been a bit keen on things that go very fast. These days I'm more into meditation and silence (it's hurting more when I fall off those fast things), though I do prick up my ears when a Ducati purrs around the corner. Haven't owned a TV for over 20 years, prefer watching stars fall and listening to the wind rather than politics. Happiness is a fantastic meal outside, with humans who are authentic.
I'm into living with the earth; making fire by friction, sleeping outdoors, making music, going walkabout for days. Listening to people tell their stories, sing their songs, be real. Cooking amazing food.
I can usually be found with our dingo and kelpie running around the bush, eating wild-caught food, wandering the wilderness and travelling the world learning cool things from cool people. I'm hoping you'll be one of them :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm heading to the States and Maui for a series of 5 rhythms workshops in May/June, and the Aussie dollar is somewhere in the vicinity of the gutter right now. I'm looking for kind humans who have somewhere I could stay while I dance until I fall over!
I am among other things a cook, and could exchange with amazing food.
Thanks for reading all this. Have a great day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent a year on a Robinson Crusoe-like island in the blue wilds of the barrier reef, far north Queensland, 600km from the nearest city...
Haggerstone Island. It only slept six guests, the huts had few walls, we caught all our own food every day from the ocean or grew it in the orchard. I freedived up to 45 feet every couple of days spearing crayfish and coral trout for the guests to eat. Slept in a treehouse. Had an argument with a shark about who owned the fish I had just speared. Came to my senses and gave it to the shark. Swam through a black lagoon full of saltwater crocodiles, at dusk. Somehow did not get eaten. Helped a nest full of baby turtles find the ocean after they got distracted by the lights from the main hut and tried to climb the back steps. Watched a giant manta ray fly over the back of the boat. Learned how to cook from two five star chefs. Worked for 15 hours a day, 7 days a week. Watched stars fall around like rain. Swam in phosphoresence. Discovered a secret waterfall. Have never looked at the world the same way since.
