Hi, I'm Giorgi from Georgia 🇬🇪 — yes, the country, not the state! I'm a web developer who genuinely loves his job, but my soul is happiest somewhere in the mountains with a waterfall nearby. I'm into hiking, woodworking, football, table tennis, and wandering through streets with no particular destination. I don't smoke or drink alcohol, I drink only beer (which obviously doesn't count 😄). In groups I tend to observe more than talk, but catch me one-on-one and I won't stop. I travel to connect, not just to see. I plan my trips but I'm not a slave to my plans — if you want to show me something, I'm in. I'm looking for real exchange: your stories for mine, and maybe one day I'll show you the Georgia that doesn't make it into travel blogs.

One place everyone should visit at some point is...
Tobavarchkhili lakes, Georgia. Most people haven't heard of it, which makes me happy and sad at the same time. Alpine lakes tucked in the Caucasus, stunning beyond anything I can describe.
Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I am not just looking for a place to sleep, but want someone with whom I can exchange interesting stories and become friends with
Music, Movies, and Books
Music has been a big part of my life — grew up on Linkin Park, Muse, Evanescence, Gorillaz, The Rasmus, and that whole era. Also a big Eminem, Bruno Mars and Maroon 5 fan. Lately I've been mostly listening to NF. Oh and I listen to Korean music too — not the mainstream K-pop, more like Jaurim, Day6, Leessang, SG Wannabe. Movies — I enjoy almost any genre except horror. Big fan of Harry Potter, LOTR, Star Wars, Marvel — not the kind who knows every detail, just the kind who genuinely enjoys them. For books, give me Harry Potter or a Robert Langdon adventure any day — hidden symbols, ancient mysteries, running through European cities solving puzzles. Right up my alley. Anime: Naruto and A Silent Voice are my favorites — couldn't be more different, but both hit hard in their own way.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: A few words of Georgian, some history and culture behind them, and if you ever visit Georgia — I'll be your guide. Learn: Everything about where you're from. The real version, not the tourist one. Share: Good conversation, honest stories, and probably some Georgian food recommendations you didn't ask for but needed.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I'll bring Georgian sweets, spices and a souvenir or two. I'll share stories from hiking trips that didn't go as planned but turned out unforgettable. And if you need an extra pair of hands in the kitchen — I'm in, just don't expect too much.
My Interests
Sports — pretty much anything, but football, table tennis and bowling are my favorites. Also a big fan of board games, especially the kind that make you think. I have a soft spot for East and Central Asian culture — music, food, traditions, all of it. And waterfalls. I plan entire trips around waterfalls. If there's a good one near you, please tell me.
