About Me

Hello there.

I’ll be living in Netherlands until June 2020 🌱

My name is Giovanni and I'm from Cesena, Italy. It might be unknown to you but it's a very beautiful and charming city; google it and look at how beautiful it is. It's very close to the sea and to Rimini.

I am a very open-minded guy, I love travelling like everyone here. My parents always supported me and let me go wherever I wanted for the past 4 years. My first trip was to Malaga, Spain. I was 14 and I stayed in a family's house. It was a very unique experience and, since then, I started saving money to travel. So that's my little story. During my high school years I saved money and always spent it to go all around the world. I have been so many times to Spain, country that I deeply love, France, UK, USA, Thailand, Morocco and so many others.

If there's one thing that I love, it's getting to meet different people and cultures. I think I like visiting different places and seeing the world, but PEOPLE are those that I look for when I travel. They're all that matter. Just imagine being in Bangkok all alone, without seeing anyone. What would you do? I just love realizing how different we all see the reality and how different is our daily routine.

I love cooking; I love italian food very much and would be happy to to cook it for you, whether I am hosting you or you're hosting me. Good food is needed for a good body. No matter if it's healthy or not. Does it make you happy? Pasta makes me so happy. Pizza also eheh.

My favorite trip? I'd say Morocco. Even though during 5 of the 7 days I was there I was sick because I accidentally drank, it was a very memorable trip. I met so many people and I spent my birthday night with two amazing people who took me to the finest restaurant in Marrakech. I met them the same day! And it was feeling like we'd known each other for an entire life! It was amazing to me. And I also feel deeply connected to the Arabic culture; the people, the food, the language. Unfortunatly, I can not speak Arabic but I really wish I could.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is one of the best thing created by humans to be honest. I am so in love with it and I hope I can help people coming to my area and, if possible, host them. I'd also love meet people thanks to it and maybe, if I need it, someone who can host me during one of my future trips.

I am very polite and clean, I really like order and if I'm your guest, you won't even notice I'm there because I always leave things as I found them. So don't expect me to be someone you have to take care of during my stay: I'm just very tidy and I think it's very important when someone decides to host you.

Interests

I love cooking, travelling and well eating. I am so in love with animals and nature in fact I love goats, sheeps and cows. They're like my bestfriends. I'm vegan.

Music, Movies, and Books

These days I am really into Brazilian Music like Joao Gilberto and Bossa Nova in general. I am a very new fan of it but I am so in love with this type of music. It actually relaxes me a lot and it's just so good!

I also really like hip-hop rap american music like Drake and Nicki Minaj. Also pop music. I don't really listen to Italian music though.

I also read a lot and I think my favorite book is "The Metamorphosis" by Apuleio. I think it's a very memorable book and I'll never forget it. I also like lots of Saramago's books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Staying at Michael's house in Washington and walking for hours around GeorgeTown with him
- Visiting "Setti Fatma" in Morocco and getting to see the goats on the other side of the mountain
- Hugging a very little sheep in a house in Ait Ben Haddou

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share with you everything. If we get to know each other well, I can tell you everything about me. I don't have lots of secrets. I am a very sincere person and I love sharing things. I can tell you everything about my trips, the people I met and places I have seen.

If you want to learn Italian, I can speak italian with you and teach it to you. I also speak spanish and english very fluently and I'm learning french and maybe starting to learn arabic.
