About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Let's go EVERYWHERE.

ABOUT ME

We were planning on having an Inter-rail all over Europe and we found out about this site. Our plan for the trip was simple: (almost) NO PLANS. We didn't want to book hostels/hotels, schedule every hour of our days of freedom, or make an itinerary of the cities we were going to visit... We just wanted get caught up in the moment. Hence why we created our CS profile. In the end we didn't do the interrail, but we're glad it brought us here and we're definitely keeping it as an option for the future.

We're easy going, we both LOVE to travel obviously, we're open to every kind of experience and willing to share our time with people from different countries.

Giulia has an awful pronunciation but likes to talk for hours nonetheless, she's a history geek, huge soccer fan, a bit of a dork but still manages to be pretty smart when she wants to. We shall say that she's also alcohol friendly (and Flavia doesn't do bad herself). She moved to Aberdeen in september 2012 to study there, but don't get your hopes up, her pronuntiation is still every English speakers' nightmare. Lost in her wanderlust she recently moved to Lyon to do the Erasmus since she just can't keep her ass still. People say that she went there to try and learn some goddamn French (with embarassingly scarce results), but really, she's just there for the cheap Leffe beer.

Flavia is a STUNNING beautiful girl (you can tell that Giulia is writing), enthusiastic about pratically everything new in sight, and she eats ice cream like there's no tomorrow. She hates soccer (much to my dismay) and loves rugby. She succesfully managed to turn me into a rugby fan. She lived in New Zealand for five months, returns there any time she's got enough money to do so and won't shut up about it. So if you happen to like it, chances are she'll love you.

We argue like an old married couple but Flavia always wins, as I'm totally incapable of saying "no" to her. We both get physically sick if we stay in a place for too long and this led to a series of crazy adventures around the world that we'll be more than happy to share with anyone who will listen.

PHILOSOPHY

"I believe if there's any kind of God it wouldn't be in any of us. Not you or me, but just... This little space in between. If there's any kind of magic in this world, it must be in the attempt of understanding someone sharing something."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We're couch surfers.

We have little money + we crave to travel + we're willing to make new experiences + we absolutely LOVE to meet new people = COUCH SURFING!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted a couple of times and it had been great, we met fantastic people! Then we decided it was our turn to give CS a try, and we're most definitely HAPPY of that decision. Completely changed our way to travel, now we can't go without it.

Interests

We're interested in international friendships, mainly, and in making an AWESOME life-experiences. The craziest the better.

When we're in tourist-mode, Giulia has a fetish for any kind of historical site while Flavia is a lover of every place that is strange and unique. We both love nature in its WILDEST expressions.

Music, Movies, and Books

the two of us have REALLY different tastes about pretty much everything -but we still manage to get along quite well! (it's still a mistery how exactly we manage to get along without killing each other)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What's the fun in reading this? It's waaay better to hear us telling our stories! The best conversations start with "hey remember that time when"... Featuring:

- that one time Giulia went hitch-hiking from Aberdeen to London and got arrested in Newcastle

-that time Flavia stopped suffering heights by doing bungy jump in NZ (134m!!)

Teach, Learn, Share

We could teach you anything about Italy (culture, food, language, FOOD, geography, food and history), we're able and willing to talk politics since we're pretty into this sort of things, Flavia could teach you how to cook (we strongly suggest to keep Giulia far from the kitchen if not for eating) while Giulia could entertain you with discussion on literature or teach you how to play soccer properly (especially if you're French since we totally kicked your ass back in 2006).
