Born in Leningrad, grew up in Brooklyn, settled in Seattle for the time being, but I call Black Rock City home. About My Home: I live in Bothell, WA - a city about 20 min north of Seattle. My home is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by trees and tranquility. While slightly difficult for travelers relying on public transportation, it is the perfect place for anyone coming by car/motorcycle. It's close enough to the freeway and an easy drive to Seattle, with other amenities and beautiful cities very near by. The home currently hosts AirBnB travelers, however I wanted to ensure I always have a space for couchsurfers as well.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I LOVE hosting people and showing people around. Any excuse to play tourist in my own city! I grew up in a large family, with more relative all over the world. We were, and are, always visiting each-other. My mom used to joke that our home is more like a Kibbutz or a Hostel. But not everyone is lucky enough to have family in all corners of the earth. That's where couchsurfing comes in. Not only does it help travelers see the world in a more affordable and fun way, but it also helps both hosts and travelers meet new people, explore new cultures, and perhaps even make friends for life.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

One amazing thing I've done, and will keep doing, is going to Burning Man. With each year I learn something new, and every year I try to give as much of myself as I can spare by participating in organization/planning, art projects, fundraisers and even transportation. I've attempted to "pay it forward" by helping as many people, especially from other countries, get themselves and their supplies to the playa.

I did a stint in culinary school and came out of it with a degree in baking and pastry arts. I love to cook, and especially bake and decorate cakes. Need a cake for a special occasion (or just your sweet tooth)? I can help! I'm also pretty handy around the house, love helping people organize their things, cleaning, etc. And if you're in my neck of the woods, I love to share my knowledge of the city (whatever little of it I may have).
