Mainly retired after working for the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service/Soil Conservation Service for nearly 36 years. Married to Darby, awesome wife, mother, grandmother and very tolerant of all of my flaws. We've lived in the great city of Thief River Falls for 28 years and are active volunteering at the Eagles club and community events as time permits.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interested in hosting from time to time as well as being hosted when traveling meeting new folks. My travels would mainly be related to cycling trips. When Darby and I are traveling it could be sightseeing, on the way to visit family or friends or who knows what.

Active cyclist,, hobbies many- camping, fishing, gardening, homebrewing, cheering for the MN Vikings and Gophers, etc.

music- rock and roll, blues, bluegrass, favorite bands- Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Trampled by Turtles, the list goes on.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Knowledge and information about Northwest MN as well as Minnesota. Bed, shower, possible meals. If cycling assistance with minor repairs and roads less traveled, accommodations would be a place to sleep-bed, shower, possible other amenities depending on needs,
