Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Passionate about innovative social change initiatives around conservation and resilience. Currently excited about using hardware technology and big data for good :)
ABOUT ME
I adventured solo around South America for 7.5 months several years ago and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I love traveling, experiencing local culture, and appreciating all the beauty life has to offer all over this planet. I have two sisters who I love dearly and my family of friends (that extends all over the world!) is amazing. I have visited 26 countries and am currently traveling in Australia.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat people with the respect, patience and compassion you expect from them. The world is becoming ever interconnected and interdependent. I would like to see stronger collaboration and emphasis on ways to relate to solve mutual problems - especially in the current state of things in the world regarding climate change. I would love to see the use of plastic dramatically reduced and replaced with a better material that more sustainable and less invasive. I am passionate about how tech can be used for good - especially as it's related to water conservation, better energy sources, efficient and effective food systems, and in empowering people from all backgrounds to enhance their lives and the world around them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been living in San Francisco for the last 7 years and it is incredible. I believe the best relationships in life are those built across a variety of borders. I love meeting people from all over and showing people the city and all it has to offer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Met some great people couchsurfing in Chile and Brazil. Hosted some great people from France and Germany.
Interests
My passions in life include travel, people, languages, adventures...always down to try something new. I love photography and it is my favorite artistic form of expression. I love sports (scuba diving, surfing, soccer/futbol, rafting, skiing, wakeboarding, rockclimbing. I want to learn how to kitesurf and spend more time diving in the oceans before they are totally extinct :/ One of my goals in life is to look a whale in the eye.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My life has led me on some very serendipitous adventures. My trips have taken me to beaches in Hawaii, sailing underneath millions of stars in British Columbia, chasing whales in California, hanging out with natives in the jungles of Ecuador, trekking to Machu Picchu, reveling in the extraterrestrial landscapes of Bolivia, relaxing by lakes and snow-capped peaks in Patagonia, feeling the rush of water next to a 60-foot waterfall in Iguazu Falls, sitting 20 feet from government leaders of Bolivia, Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador and delegates from 120 countries at the People's World Conference on Climate Change, sailing in the Caribbean and San Blas islands, walking around the Red Square in Moscow at 5am, and more...
Teach, Learn, Share
I am interested in how people collaborate and relate across cultures and countries. My background includes working with international students as an English teacher and program host for an English Language school in California. I also worked for an executive search firm conducting job searches for high end positions in well-known Universities and companies. If you need help with your resume, let me know!
