About Me

Keen to meet up with any locals or travellers to explore the city and surrounds!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like most CSers I just want to meet new and interesting people from all over the world. After couchsurfing across most of western Europe and being hosted by some of the coolest and most incredible people I've ever met, I've received more than enough good karma that it's now time to pay some of it forward.

Having travelled and surfed abroad, I know how difficult it can be to find a host so will always try help out in whatever way I can.

Interests

Pretty much anything and everything. Sport of all kinds (cricket, rugby, football, fencing, swimming, squash etc.) as well as hiking, camping, rock climbing, paddling, sailing, scuba diving etc., basically anything involving the outdoors. Nothing wrong with time spent at the beach with mates either. Love a good meal or sharing a couple of drinks with friends old and new. Also quite into my wines and craft beer. Reading (when I find a good book), music, music festivals (the ones in Europe are unreal) and movies pretty much complete the list.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music tastes vary considerably, any music as long as its good music to be honest, be it rock, dance, electronic or drum and bass, although I generally prefer indie and alternative rock - basically anything with a guitar works for me; right from chilled acoustic acts like the Mighty Oaks to more experimental bands who push the boundaries like Enter Shikari and Muse.

I enjoy crime thriller stories but am also a huge fan of fantasy epics such as The Lord of the Rings (books and films) and the Wheel of Time.

For movies it depends on my mood. Action and comedy are definitely tops but also movies which make you think a bit or try and mess with your head like Shutter Island, Inception and Interstellar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many things to count, a lot of stories to be shared over a drink. But always on the lookout for the next adventure:)
