Overview
About Me
I gave up my career in the film industry to be a market gardener and custom woodworker. This has given me a lot of freedom as soon a frost hits, although it means I work my butt off all spring/summer/fall. This allows me to really sink my teeth into the places I travel to, because one or two weeks isnt enough time to get to know a place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I try to travel whenever I have a significant amount of free time, and although I don't resent the cost of traveling, one of the best tuition fees I've ever paid, I also say that living local wherever you go is cheaper and much more rewarding. I have never stayed on a resort and probably never will. Also I have a cottage on the beach up here that is under utilized, so I feel I can offer quite a lot to this community! Also I accept woofers and organic farming interns.
Interests
I'm fortunate enough to make a living doing my hobbies, but in addition to horticulture and design, I am a rock climber, scuba diver, hiker, cyclist and explorer.
