About Me

I'm based in Vancouver, BC and work in Alberta in tourism during the summer (Banff, Jasper, Icefields, etc). I grew up taking road trips for family vacations, staying at campgrounds from the Yukon to the east coast to Colorado. My Dad would talk to whomever he came across, and we visited some wonderful places he learned about in conversations with folks. I enjoy meeting new people and sharing the special places I've seen.

I work in the outdoor/adventure tourism industry in Canada. I lived in Nevada and Wyoming for school, and worked in Colorado. I'm a BodyTalk practitioner, and use the techniques of Linking Awareness and reiki to facilitate well-being for people, animals and the environment.

Currently in the Vancouver area (Burnaby) and happy to meet people, host and show off the the sights when my schedule allows. I know lots of hidden spots both locally and in random places in the Western US from adventures during school and work, plus working in tourism for awhile! I may be able to host some people with enough advance notice..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing to meet new people as I travel, and to share what I know with fellow travelers. I love to learn about other cultures and traditions, and regularly work with folks from different backgrounds.

I've mostly traveled on my own, and it's nice to meet people that know the local sights, coffee shops and want to trade stories or join up for outdoor dventures. Ultimately, I'm living for the experience and trusting the Universe that things will work out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I completed a 14 Day Field Course with BOSS (www.boss-inc.com) in 2012 that changed my life... an amazing and incredible experience I love to share about.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy cooking and baking, and usually travel with a bit of my sourdough starter.
I can teach knots, camping skills, energy healing.
I can share energy healing sessions, favorite recipes, funny tales of things I've learned the hard way, and unusual coincidences that led to amazing events.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Funny stories of adventures and what I learned from them... especially Type 2 fun
Energy healing sessions (BodyTalk and reiki).
Homemade bread!
Awesome places I've visited and hostels I've stayed at.
Positive vibes and a big smile.
