Hello I’m Grégy a happy globetrotter from Switzerland. I always loved traveling but with a 9 to 5 job it was very complicated to find enough time to really enjoy my trips. That’s why I decided in 2019 to quit my job to travel and discover the world. And it was the best decision of my life! 

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When you travel, it's pretty hard to leave the beaten track and discover some authentic spots. My experience on Couchsurfing offers me opportunities to meet some amazing people and to create great friendships. They show me some very local spots and always give me the best advice to visit their country. I love the idea that we can help each other and that with Couchsurfing you can see the best of what humanity has to offer. It’s the way that I want to live my life with caring and sharing with the people that I met no matter their nationality, class, religion, belief, sexual orientation or any other reason.

Interests

My biggest interests are traveling and discovering the world. I would like to see everything, to meet everyones, to test everything and to live each day as if it is my last.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : I like every kind of music, especially the ones that I can sing with.

Movie : my favorite types of movies are adventures and movies that make you think a lot. Marvel’s movie are definitely my guilty pleasure 

Books : I read mostly French writers, because it’s the language in which I enjoy much the literature. But I can read any type. Some of my all time favorites : Harry Potter, Sapiens, Oscar et la dame Rose, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve been super lucky to travel a lot in my life and to live many amazing experiences!

Definitely the most amazing is the 6 months passed traveling on the Silk Road, crossing Asia by land.

But I lived many others experience like :
In Mexico, I swim in a lagoon with bioluminescence and have the feeling of swimming in the middle of the stars.
Walk on a glacier in Switzerland.
Visit the mausoleum of Kim Il-Sung in North Korea.
Ride a sleigh pulled by a reindeer in Finland.
Float on the Dead Sea.
Attending an opera in Vienna.
See an active explosive volcano in Guatemala.
Participate in the Holi festival in India.
Live a midnight sunset in the gorgeous archipelago of Lofoten in Norway.
or walk on the Great Wall of China.
And many more!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m always happy to learn new things and to share my own knowledge.
I can teach you to cook something, like guacamole, bread or pasta.
I love to do Light painting also!
