I grew up in Massachusetts and went to school in Maine. I love spending time outside, especially in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and try to live an active lifestyle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, but frankly haven't done enough of it. I am hoping that Couchsurfing will help fix this problem. I think by staying with locals I will gain unique experiences that you just can't get by staying in hotels. Plus I figure if I'm going somewhere new and want to live like a local while I'm there, who better to stay with than a local.

Interests

I love to do anything outdoors and constantly look for new things to learn. Some of my favorite activities are skiing, mountain biking, cooking, reading, soccer, hiking, and anything in the water. I enjoy traveling and meeting new people. I enjoy learning about new cultures and hearing about people's experiences. Another big hobby of mine is homebrewing (beer, cider, mead, wine).

Music, Movies, and Books

I like just about anything when it comes to music. Some of my favorite TV shows are The Walking Dead, How I Met Your Mother, and The Big Bang Theory. I'm a huge movie fan and am always looking for suggestions on movies, but some of my favorites are Gladiator, Shawshank Redemption, Indian Jones, anything by Alfred Hitchcock, and Hot Tub Time Machine. Some of my favorite books are The Godfather, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and any travel book.

Teach, Learn, Share

I try to always keep an open mind, especially when it comes to trying new things and meeting new people. I enjoy learning about other people's beliefs, cultures, practice and views.
