Music, Movies, and Books
There is so much we can recommend. It is way too long to list. We actually keep lots of lists of things like movies, recipes, life hacks, educational and inspiring videos, fitness exercises etc.
We are eager to build them up and to share them.
For example, can you help us extend this list of
"beautiful, funny, provocative, original or otherwise significant songs (at least one per every country)"?
If you have a chance watch “Ten Items or Less”:
https://archive.org/details/10-items-or-less
Two complete strangers meet by chance and both of their lives get enriched by getting a different perspective on life. This movie is to me like a perfect CS experience....
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As a student (many, many years ago) Pawel spent 3 months cycling around Europe. He was short of cash and as there was no Couchsurfing back then he spent most of this time sleeping under bridges or in bus stop shelters - a proper bum :) (see the bike trip section of our photos)
visited 46 states (20.4%)
Teach, Learn, Share
As mentioned above we have lots to share.
Among others we can teach:
- languages (Pawel used to teach English and has a lot of tips for both learning and teaching, + same electronic materials he could share)
-computers (although Pawel deals with large corporate systems) he should be able to troubleshoot most PC-related problems
- We can definitely teach you some Taekwondo kicks :)
- how to ferment food (making close to authentic Korean Kimchi)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Fix computers.or electronic stuff, teach how to make Kimchi, various educational advice,.practice languages
