About Me
Hey,
Nice to meet you, I'm Guillaume. I was born in Paris, and lived a big part of my life in Avignon, which is in the east-south of France.
I'm currently working as a developer, for a simple reason: I like it and it's well paid. It's not my passion though.
What I really like, as a curious guy, is discovering new things. It can be countries, people, stories, concepts... I travel a lot through reading, but it's not enough. So here I am.
Nice to meet you 👋
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
ATM, it's mostly to discuss with locals of the countries I plan to go, and to ask them tips, and recommendation.
I don't want to be just like another tourist. When I go to a new place, I'd like to embrace local culture, gastronomy (I'm French so please understand that it is near crucial for me), and activity. I don't want to see or to do things, I want to feel it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I do not really have a favorite of each one. But I do have current favorites.
Book: 5000 years of debt. Did you know debt is far more older than troc, and troc have probably never existed like you think it has ? No ? Then you should read it.
Music: "Ciel Noir" - by Nekfeu. French Rap on a beat rap directly inspired of Nouvelle Orelans (USA) jazz beats, it is just... incredible. Event if you don't understand French.
Movie: Well, I don't watch a lot of movies... Let's say my favorite is "Le diner de con", a French comic movie. Short synopsis: Wednesday is “Idiots' Day”. The idea is simple: each person has to bring along an idiot. The one who brings the most spectacular idiot wins the prize.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've just walked on the avocado I bought for dinner. It was incredibly smooth and sliding.
Teach, Learn, Share
That's kind of the development spirit. I'm a developer. So I can teach you a lot of things in informatics.
But please, I won't fix your printer !
