I am a 19 year-old traveler trying to get a sense of Europe after my high school graduation. I went to boarding school in New Mexico, but am originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and would love to be able to reciprocate your generosity and show you around my beloved home city if you show me around yours! I have loved traveling my entire life, but this trip I'm doing in June 2016 is my first solo trip, and has been a fantastic learning experience and a seriously fun time. I like everything from sampling local cuisine (I tried a calf snout in Paris - gets a solid 2/10 in my book) to seeing the museums on offer. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I was in a pub in Florence and someone told me about this fantastic service where you get to stay with the locals, learn directly from them about their cultures and lives, and sometimes make connections that last even beyond your stay in that city. That was something I felt I had to be part of.

I like impressionist art, rap and jazz, hiking, eating, and coffee.

Badbadnotgood is my favorite band, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest is my favorite book, and A Most Violent Year is my favorite movie (it's actually not at all a violent movie).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I led some of the students a grade below me in the wild of New Mexico for three days alongside a Zimbabwean classmate!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some funny stories about things that have happened to me over this trip, I can make a fried egg inside a piece of toast really well, and we can definitely go out to dinner some time.
