About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Think sustainable

ABOUT ME

I live in Santiago, Chile, the southernmost country of planet earth, and I'm in love with it, and most of all with my South American continent; I love its culture, its people, its geography, its trees, birds, oceans, but I'm not so hot on its frontiers.
Because of all that I do not get tired of travelling whenever I have the chance to do it. I believe that friendliness can take you everywhere and so far it has for me.

PHILOSOPHY

As said before, I think culture, music, peace, art, nature, should be the floor on which we build. We are insignificant in the universe, but dangerously significant to our planet. There are things to be changed and to be changed now in order to leave peacefully with nature, animals, and ourselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to be a traveller, not so much a tourist, looking for the chance to help people know my country as well as I do and to get to know every place from the inside.

I hace received travellers in Santiago and much more been received aa a visitor in many places, some of them through CS and a lot through personal encounters during my trips

Interests

I make my living as a professional hitchhiking traveller, an amateur musician -I play guitar and love every kind of percussion, also work as a DJ- and ocationally, as an architect. I enjoy simple but magical things like a good Mate herb, a camping weekend, a beer in my city and mostly every kind of cultural expression. Also I ride a bike -sadly, in a city thats not yet prepared for bike riders-

Music, Movies, and Books

I like mostly any kind of music, its been a constant walk in my life, sometimes I arrive somewhere for periods but then keep up with my search. I have one part of my brain thats always aware of music, not depending on what activity im focused on.
I really enjoy many different types of music but do not like very much what could be called "pop". I was going to say I do not like reggaeton at all, but then I reallized im supposed to be talking about music and reggaeton is not.
Lately I've been listening a lot of reggae, 60s - 70s woodstock bands, funk, electronic chill music, rock, folk, afro-beat, within many more.
I think the best spent money is in travelling and concerts.
I wont get started with the movies topic because that would make me write too much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A hitchhiking trip I made with 3 great friends around northern Chile, Bolivia and Brazil, it lasted 2 months but it will remain forever (if forced to pick one moment of that trip, it would be when we went to Uyuni salt desert, there's nothing like it anywhere else in this world)
A bike trip I made on my own in Cuba, rented a bike in Trinidad and ride all the way to a national park to see a waterfall named "el cubano" (the cuban). Travelling on your own is a unique experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach camping skills, music, architecture, building, cooking, dancing, enjoying small things.
And I can learn about everything I do not know (as Einstein once said, we are all very ignorant, we just ignore different things)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Denmark, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Peru, Spain, Switzerland, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
