About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Do we really need to have one? mine changes all the time
ABOUT ME
I like simplicity and straightfoward people.I'm curious and enthousiastic about things, and I'm also a bit clumsy and absent-minded because I day-dream a lot.Well, my friends find it really funny and I guess I learnt howto live with it...
I'm usually happy in my own companie and there are a couple of things I like doing on my own like travelling for instance, but I'm not the self sufficient type and usually prefer when there are people around.
I try my best to make my life be coherent with what I think and say and avoid too much contradiction between my lifestyle and my ideas even though it's not always easy and I sometimes think I could be more radical...
I love meeting new persons and do so as much as I can
I enjoy doing things with people, it's sometimes better than talking ( but I must admit I also love discussing different issues and listening to people especially when they have unconventional or even provocative points of view.
I'm concerned about the environnent and fair sharing of resources, but I try not to waste energy on hopeless fights, chewing things over. I'm involved in project works to take action at a local level even if it's modest( I'm in charge of an AMAP which aims at developing organic farming and creating a direct link between producers and consummers ).I also try to pay attention to the way I consume.
But what's the most important for me is having fun doing it: there's nothing like a good laugh with good friends.
I love lightness and I keep learning!
I can discuss and debate about any subject with a glass of wine and a good company I love intelligent conversations, and it's always great to hear and learn about people's interests and passions to understand the world better and also understand myself a bit more everyday!
PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
CS is quite new to me but some friends loved it and the whole idea is great.
I'm not travelling that much lately so I'm absolutely delighted to meet people from far away. If I can speak English on top of it,that's the suggar on the cake!
I had mainly hosted so far but I've just discover the pleasure of being a guest while touring around Scotland this summer and I looooved it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed many unexpected couches while travelling without actually kwowing it had a name. Total strangers have been so good to me that hosting is a way for me to return the favour.
Interests
I have many. I love DIY and manual work, from building brick walls to sewing, and recycling old things in general.I also love doing things with my kids, laughing and learning from them.I like nature and quiet, but I enjoy the social life of an urban environment too.
I enjoy cycling (short distances!)
I love my job: it's fun, although I find it real hard to get out of bed early in winter..
I'd love to quit smoking, but I'm afraid my tolerance to frustration is close to nothing!
I enjoy learning how to grow my own vegetables and go with my kids to our comunity garden taking advise from the old men that we see there.
I adore seeing wild animals by chance, makes me deeply happy
I like cooking healthy organic food and stuffing myself with homemade chocolate cakes.
I like camping, hicking,hitchhicking...
and reading a good book in a confortable couch with blanket on my knees by the fire place!
And also I love lighting the fire in the morning when the house is cold and everyone is still sleeping
I don't like spending hours in front of a computer screen although that's what I'm doing by completing this profile...

Music, Movies, and Books
I like reading, mainly fiction (American and Irish literature but also any great book comes to my hands: Harrisson, Brautigan,Bass, london, thoreau,Stegner,Mc Cann, Mc Carthy, Mc Guane, O Connor,Bouvier, but also essays from all those leftists authors ;)
I don't go to the cinema that often lately and I don't watch TV but I like watching films .I like many types of movies from Gondrit, Loach, Lynch, the cohen brothers's movies to old French films with incredible dialogues... I don't mind a good thriller or a comedy too, as long as There's a good plot and it is in original version.
As for music I've got very eclectic tastes as well
Nick drake, Bashung, Dominique A,Noir Desir, les têtes raides,Férré,Férrat, Pixies,Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen,Nina Simone and so many more..
But I guess I have a special taste for world and traditional music in general, and Celtic music in particular. For some reason it just makes me really cheerful (probably something in my genes?)
Breton (Barzaz,Kornog, toudsame,Guichen,Pevar Den, laoned Fall,Ar Re Yaouank...) and Irish and Scottish (Lunasa,Solas,Kila,Eileen Ivers)My favourite instrument being the wooden flute and low wistle.
Actually I've just started playing(badly) the harp again after stopping for many years and I wonder if I'll be one day able to play the tunes I used to play when I was 15!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The best is still to come!
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't kwow what I can teach, Breton dancing maybe, and share a couple of things about my region and its culture.I guess I can also help you with your French. Well, just ask and I'll do my very best.
On the contrary, I do know what I can learn; Anything that is new and different: languages, cooking outdoor activities,gardening...
