About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring and engaging the world around me.
ABOUT ME
If you were looking for a person, you've found one.
I have a love for people who like to go against society's expectations of what is, "right".
Adventurer. Film maker. World traveler. Somewhat, generally, sorta awesome person. ^_^
I went to school for a BA in Film and Video Production.
I enjoy all the seasons Minnesota has to offer. I've lived here for just over 2 years and it's been a wonderful contrast to my home state of California.
Farmers markets are the best.
I like awesomely bad movies, and I think music on vinyl sounds better.
I enjoy collecting and playing records.
I stay up way too late.
I've been a hosteler for 10+ years now, and CS'er for about 8. I think that this kind of interaction is very necessary. It helps break down stereotypes about other people and cultures. I very much love the process of 'traveling', as in, getting to the destination... I love adventure, I love to just pick up and, "go".
PHILOSOPHY
Follow your heart. Do what makes you happy.
Life is too short to stay upset.
"Ever thought from here on in your life begins and all you knew was wrong?"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Long term-I plan to open my own hostel in Eastern Europe. I want spread the word about CS and hosteling. I am currently in the process of pitching a travel show, here is the link to the trailer, (if you're so interested to view, lol). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPnLdcbNcvc
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had some interesting experiences.. The most was when I was 17, and in Paris for the first time. It was late and the Metro service had shut down most lines. I was stuck far away and unable to get to a open hostel. A couple was nice enough to see and understand my plight and offered their floor with a futon of sorts.
