🏮Hello there, I'm Clemy! Coming from Shenzhen, the city right next to Hong Kong and the tech powerhouse of China, I'm now taking a gap year from studying Jewelry Design and Psychology in the bustling city of Shanghai.
🗽I have a genuine passion for exploration, meeting diverse individuals, and immersing myself in various cultures. I just finished my Summer Work and Travel program working under the Statue of Liberty in New York for four months this summer🇺🇸🇺🇸, after two trips to London and Europe🇪🇺🇬🇧... Having THE year of my life! 🧨
🫧I'm described by friends as passionate, bubbly, kind, and empathetic. I've always had a profound interest in western culture, history and art. Personally, I'm helped a great deal by western ways of parenting, the respect towards personal boundaries and an emphasis on individual will, cured by existential psychologist like Irvin D. Yalom and Humanistic Psychology. The difference between the Asian culture and Western culture has always fascinated me, I tend to think that instead of making a black and white judgement, I'd like to truly experience and respect their differences and overlaps. (Oh and binge watching Pleaky Blinders these days... Love listening to Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, Dylan Moran while washing the dishes :D )
💓I'm quite hardworking both in school and out. I'm a scholarship recipient and a global jewelry design competition winner when it comes to my professional field. I used to be one of those really nerdy kids until spending three years in therapy and after that, I decided to rearrange my life's priority to not just about achieving fame or success, but about ordinary every day life. About the people I encounter at my doorstep, or half way across the globe. About hearing German's "KONSONANTENSCHLACHT"(sorry German hosts), about falling for another human being, with an exotic face but down below, the same pounding heart like mine that's pursuing connection, understanding, a sense of belonging and above all, love.
