我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm currently on a road trip around the USA. A few of my close friends have used Couchsurfing before on a similar trip and highly recommended it as a means of finding great accommodation and meeting awesome new people. I'm super excited to find out what this is all about.

兴趣

I like pretty much anything that gets me outdoors, and I eventually want to find work in environmental conservation. I also enjoy the occasional video game, playing Risk (if I'm in control of Australia or South Africa), and if you look at my track record - injuring myself.

I have also been very fortunate to have travelled a lot, and I plan on continuing to do so as frequently as possible.

Oh, and all the animals.

My taste in music is pretty varied, though I do have a particular fondness for Led Zeppelin, The Ink Spots and Eels.

One of my areas of study at school is film, so I think that I'm supposed to say something like Casablanca or A Trip to the Moon... In reality I love Singin' in the Rain, anything by Quentin Tarantino, and find guilty pleasure in Some Like it Hot.

I can teach you how to split an apple with your bare hands (or bear hands. Note, having bear hands makes this significantly easier.) I can also probably teach you some other useless stuff that won't really help you do anything important..

I'm looking to learn pretty much anything. I'm anticipating that I will learn a lot about the culture and individuality of a place in a way that staying in more traditional accommodation does not allow, and I'm very excited about that.
