About Me

ABOUT ME

I first created this profile as a teenager still living in her parents' home, hoping to meet up with other people and show them around my favorite city in the world- Jerusalem.

After finally finishing my military service and returning from a 3 month trip in the US (I worked as a summer camp counselor and traveled), I spent a year working and travelling. In October 2018 I started my first year of university at Ben Gurion University in Be'er Sheva. In October 2021 I will start my MA at BGU.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At this point in my life, I'm eager to get to know Couchsurfing from a backpacker's point of view. I want to meet, engage and explore new cities and towns with the help of those who know best- the locals.

I am also open to hosting and hanging out with travelers who happen to make their way down south, depending on the time of year and how busy my schedule is!

Interests

As you can see in my list of interests, I'm an avid Postcrosser since 2010. Check out my profile and join the movement!

Aside from all things snail mail, I love reading (more about that later) and writing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter, for sure :) Historical fiction is my personal favorite. Anything by Philippa Gregory, Michelle Moran and Lisa See.

Music and movies? I'm not so clear cut with those. If you'd like, I'll share with you my playlist, but it isn't anything special.

Teach, Learn, Share

There's a famous idiom in Hebrew that says "In a place where there are no people, try to be one". It basically means that despite your surroundings, you should be as human as possible. Bad company does not give you an excuse to be bad as well.

While I hardly think that I live in a bad society, I like to think that no matter what happens or whatever life puts me through, I would want to maintain my aspiration to help others and to remain compassionate.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've got a lot of stories to share if my hosts are interested. My background, my army service, my country...if any of these make you curious, I'll be happy to tell you all about it.

I'm a very polite guest and will make sure to respect your boundaries. I've also been told that I bring the coolest gifts ;)
