I live with my partner Louis in an old stone barn in rural Dordogne, which we are renovating into our home. We have a hectare of land with a big, overgrown vegetable garden. It's a lovely place to go for countryside walks and to swim in the river Dronne. As far as work goes, I do French to English translation and for the moment I'm a European project manager for a charity based in nearby Angoulême. Louis is a timber framer - he makes traditional style oak frames for buildings. I'm involved as a volunteer in two local associations - a fantastic community café (https://www.cafeasso.fr/) where we organise gigs, workshops, dance, theatre, circus etc etc and a shared workspace in my local village (http://www.laboiteabosse.fr/actualites.html). I'm teaching myself to draw and I love to do art-journalling and writing, exploring inner worlds. I also love dancing, music, reading, conversations and pottering around in my vegetable garden. Je suis traductrice français>anglais et chargée de projets européens et mon compagnon fait la charpente traditionnelle en chêne. Je suis bénévole dans deux assos à côté de chez moi - un café associatif génial où nous organisons concerts, théâtre, cirque etc etc - et un "tiers lieu" ou espace co-working dans mon village avec d'autres "freelanceurs". J'apprends le dessin et j'adore écrire et dessiner dans mon journal. J'aime aussi danser, la musique, lire, les conversations... et quand j'ai le temps je fais un peu de jardinage dans mon p'tit potager.
