Hi! I was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon, but also grew up in San Diego, CA, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. I've been a professional musician, a beekeeper, a kindergarten teacher, a professor of English, and even a mom, the wildest, most challenging opportunity yet! I've just returned to the US of A this year after living abroad for over 10. My husband and I got married and left for work in Seoul, South Korea (amazing place!!) beginning of 2009, lived and worked there a year, then backpacked Southeast Asia and Europe for four months thinking we'd return home. But as we traveled, we learned of another more wild opportunity abroad that kept us away. I personally couldn't even imagine landing on the ground of such a mysterious place... So after visiting with family, we again left, but this time for the Middle East. We had decided to live and work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for two years (my husband three, as I left to work in Singapore for the one and final year he stayed in Saudi). I taught at King Saud University teaching medical students English composition, literature, etc. and ended up teaching the Al Saud princesses privately in their home! Don't ask me! One day I was riding in the back of a cab in Saudi Arabia (when it was still illegal for women to drive) and the Beatles were playing softly in the background after leaving the home of people who own endless private jets, have more hired help in their home than most companies, and influence the most powerful of countries, and I thought, "Never ever crossed my mind" and smiled. My husband and I have kind of found our way as we've gone through life. We weren't the type that had everything planned though I think with experience, in our case, we've been able to learn very much what we'd like at this point... to some degree, LOL. For we are who we are, adaptable, happy, open people who like to live the good life and enjoy new people, experiences, and opportunities. After Saudi, we then moved to the Las Vegas of the Middle East, an island country called Bahrain where we had our daughter, Berlin (one of our favorite cities) and our son, Epic Hart (named after my beautiful mother) where we lived and worked for five years, until it was absolutely time to come home for my husband to return to school for an engineering degree and for us to raise our family WITH family, until the next opportunity... and it will come. This world is absolutely meant to be explored and enjoyed! Note: I am not open to any romantic kind of opportunities with others. My husband and I are very traditional and happy to keep it that way. To us, choosing each other every day is part of what makes what we have so special.
