My mission is to meet as many people from as many places as possible. I am accepting of any and all cultures and want to give what i can to help make anyones stay in my country a happy one!

ABOUT ME

Ive been away from the CS world for a while. I took an excellent trip around Europe and had a wonderful time and met some great people! Unfortunately couldnt make the couch surfing thing work over there, but Im still happy to try it out here!

Im a fun-loving guy. I love all the world's cultures and I just wish more people could see the beauty in them instead of focusing on the bad. I love my city of Boulder. It is such an open-minded place. Its expensive to live here though so unfortunatly this will probably be the last year I get to spend here. I will miss it terribly but I sure want to go out with a bang. thats why I am hoping to meet some great new people this summer from all over the world to share this great place with.

Im a man of humble means but whats mine is yours. I always have cold beer in the fridge and hopefully something tasty to eat in the pantry. I know my way around this state and live just 20 minutes from our state capitol, Denver. The night-life in Boulder is second-to-none and the scenery is georgeous. If you enjoy hiking, biking, off-roading, or anything else to do with the outdoors Boulder is the place to be.

I live alone in an apartment right now. I spent the last 4 years living with 5 other people and decided to try it alone for a year. I like it sometimes, sometimes I miss the ruckus of activity everywhere. My friends are all great people and, like me, love meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

You get what you give. Ive known some great people who lead great lives; they put happiness into the world and the world brings it back to them. There is a karmic force of some sort in the world and we cant expect any good to come from resting on our laurels. I want to meet the people who take the road less travelled and hopefully be welcomed by those who have when I take it too.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Im new to all this so I dont know what participation entails but i am up for anything really. My place isnt huge but I have a fold out futon that I am more than willing to lend out for a few nights to a weary traveller. I head about this site from my ex-girlfriend who is now in Africa and she swore by it. She knows her stuff when it comes to travelling so if she endorses it I am on board!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only real travelling ive done is inside the United States. Ive been all over this country and met great people from shore to shore. Friends of friends almost always gave up their couch or a spare room or at least a tarp to sleep in the yard. Not everyone has the money to stay in a hostel every night, and certainly not a hotel. Ive camped on the side of the road and I know first hand that nothing beats a hot shower and a couch when you're tired and cold! I hope to be welcomed in other countries when I go and I feel that the least I can do is welcome others here when they come!

Interessen

I will do anything once. In the summer I like to go to football games, mountain bike, grab a beer and sit on one of the many rooftop bars that overlook my city. I like to camp, and ski, hike and go intertubing down our Boulder Creek. I love golf and am a decent cook. Really if theres something fun to do in this city I will seek it out and surely make a fool out myself trying.

I also like to just hang out. I dont need to be going all the time. Some days I have to work 13 hours so I am fine coming home to a good book before I go to sleep. I dont watch a lot of TV but a good movie is hard to pass up. Other than that im just a pretty laid-back guy; up for whatever!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Philosophy and Psychology are my two passions in life. I want more than anything to unlock the meaning of life but knowing that I probably never will I am content to try to understand what makes us tick biologically. My study of the human mind is only in its infancy but one day I hope to help those of us in crisis...As such I read alot of philosophy and psychological theory (droll I know). I also love the classics and a good work of fiction (new or old).

As for movies, Ill watch just about anything. Im a huge movie buff so if anyone has any recomendations let me know!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Its hard to say. A lot has happened in the past couple years. I walked miles across European cities taking in the sights and smells. I sat on stuffy un-airconditioned busses for 20 hours at a time and enjoyed every minute of it (well, almost every minute). I met amazing people and have made some fantastic friends! Im excited to see what the next chapter of my life has in store!
