To learn as much as I can, and to be a respectful and disciplined person.

ABOUT ME

I live in the Hudson Valley, I teach and play music and work various odd jobs. I play upright and electric bass in a group called Upstate. I grew up in New York City and I spent some time living in the mid-west.

PHILOSOPHY

I think learning is a cradle to grave sort of thing, so I try and keep a student's attitude towards everything.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Our band Upstate uses Couchsurfing to find hosts on tour. We live in Dutchess county New York and can potentially host surfers as well.

Music- All sorts of jazz and American Music, particularly Louis Armstrong, Jack Teagarden, Billie Holiday, Dave Van Ronk, Sam Cooke, as well as lots of Afro Cuban music. I dig most other kinds of music too, like the blues, r and b, classical music, old time music, and salsa music.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach lessons on the acoustic guitar and both electric and upright bass. I know how to solder from work. I have a few interesting stories, and I know some good jokes.
