About Me

Hi, I’m Himanshu Tailor!

I’m a passionate traveler currently living in the US, with a lifelong dream of visiting every country in the world. So far, I’ve had the privilege of exploring 40 countries across Asia, America, and Europe, and I’m always looking forward to the next adventure.

Travel for me is not just about visiting new places but connecting with people and immersing myself in different cultures. I’ve hosted many guests from around the world and have stayed with amazing hosts during my travels. These experiences have taught me the value of shared stories, local insights, and meaningful connections.

I believe the best way to truly understand a place is through the eyes of the locals. Whether it’s discovering hidden spots, learning about customs, or just having a great conversation over coffee, I’m always eager to learn and share. Couchsurfing has been a great platform for me to meet new people and experience destinations in a deeper, more personal way.

When I’m not traveling, I enjoy playing with my tech work, and I love exchanging stories with fellow travelers and hosts.

Looking forward to meeting new friends and making connections around the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people, experiencing their culture and lifestyle, and making friends from all around the world. Being part of the Couchsurfing community has been an incredible experience, and I’m always excited to meet new people, share my travel stories, and live like a local wherever I go.

My first Couchsurfing experience was with Benjamin in Kandy, Sri Lanka, where I stayed for three days with his family. It was such a memorable experience, and I really enjoyed the local stay. Couchsurfing has made it possible to meet amazing people while exploring new places, and I’m always grateful for the connections I’ve made.

Another wonderful experience was when I was hosted by Manzhil Singh in Kathmandu, Nepal, while hiking around the country. We had a great time together, especially during a fun fish party at night! Manzhil even helped me book a bus to Pokhara, which made my trip smoother. It was truly a fantastic time.

Recently, I was hosted by the sweetest person, Filyn, in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. One Sunday morning, she messaged me for lunch, and we ended up spending the day together, exploring the town with one of her cute friends. It was my best Sunday ever in Malaysia, and it felt like a complete one-day tour of JB. Thanks so much, Filyn! I hope to see you again soon.

Couchsurfing has given me so many unforgettable memories, and I’m looking forward to making more friends and experiences along the way!
