Overview
About Me
I recently graduated from Bard College, a small liberal arts school in upstate New York, and I'll be driving around the country for a year or two. I'm an investigative journalist, so I'm passionate about writing, telling stories, and exposing institutional corruption. To do this work, I spend a lot of time listening to people and just hanging out.
I travel light and don't take up a lot of space.
I like swimming holes, food, DIY shows, and something unexpected.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I prefer staying with a local, as opposed to some kind of hotel, who can show me around the area so I can experience a place through their eyes. Hospitality is also a virtue and one that Americans sorely need to cultivate.

Music, Movies, and Books
What Ancient Greek myths or the Bible are to others, The Simpsons is to me: a cultural canon.
I like post-punk, underground hip hop, techno/deep house.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took over Bard's student newspaper my junior year and re-oriented it into a hard-hitting, investigative publication that holds the institution accountable.
I got into Berghain.
Teach, Learn, Share
As previously mentioned, I'm a writer and editor, so I'd be down to talk shop or take a look at your copy.
I was an anthropology major (the study of cultures, not digging up old stuff) and did my senior thesis on Freemasons, becoming one myself in the process. I spent a year researching, writing, and hanging out with a group guys from a local lodge. If you're curious about Masonry, I love talking about it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can make some solid noodles, stay out of your hair, or stay up all night drinking whiskey and yakking. Whichever you prefer.
