Very keen sportsperson, mainly playing "Seniors" tennis in Australia and Europe. Joined a club team in Dusseldorf about 11 years ago, with "tennis interrupting my travels". I have traveled much of Europe, incl Iceland and Faroes, but yet to do Portugal and mainland Spain. Mainly solo unless there is a friend tennis player with time to join me. Don't smoke but enjoy a beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A tennis friend in Den Haag is a couchsurfer host, and he introduced me as I prefer to meet locals to "feel" the place I am visiting. I have B / B'd a lot for that reason, but some places may not offer B and B's and it is great to learn about the area from locals, CS offers this as well.
