Music, Movies, and Books
Books- Whatever nonfiction catches my fancy- feminist texts, interesting biographies, rock bio's, graphic novels-, poetry -Plath, Celan, Shakespeare, Rimbaud, Dorothy Parker-, Pahlaniuk, Gaiman, Anne Rice, Ray Bradbury. I could go on and on.
Music- Lots of alt rock, punk rock, new wave. Bands of Note: Radiohead, Nirvana, Hole, Dresden Dolls, The Dear Hunter, Scarling, Jack Off Jill, Circa Survive, She Wants Revenge, The Rolling Stones. Again, I could go on and on.
Movies- Lots of indie movies, a few blockbusters, cult classics. Donnie Darko, The Craft, Interview With The Vampire, Weatherman, Wes Anderson stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to a speaking event with Chuck Palahniuk where he threw signed inflatable penguins. That was pretty cool.
I went to Amanda Palmer's book tour for The Art Of Asking and met Kyle Cassidy. Also pretty cool.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a librarian, so I know tidbits on many random things. I love making art no matter where I am.
