About Me
Hi! My name is Heather and I live in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. I work at the clinic in Provincetown, where I care for both our locals and the many visitors who come to experience the unique blend of community, art, and natural beauty of Cape Cod. When I’m not working, I spend a lot of time working in my little garden. I try to travel as much as I can through the off-season when it slows down here a bit. My favorite traveling companions are my daughter, who is grown and off on her own now, and friends, but I’m also not afraid to go solo.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was a child, my mom went to pick up a friend from the airport. That friend had met a woman from another country whose connecting flight had been canceled, leaving her with no place to stay. Without a second thought, my mom brought her home, shared a meal with her, and we all spent the evening talking and getting to know her. The next day, my parents took her back to the airport for her rescheduled flight. That act of kindness and hospitality left a lasting impression on me, and it’s shaped my belief that helping a traveler enriches both the giver and the receiver.
Interests
I’m passionate about helping others through my work, and outside of that, I enjoy sewing, gardening, and creating things with my hands. I’m also always curious about meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love just about any movie by Ridley Scott and Game of Thrones is my favorite TV series of all time. I must confess I’m growing more nostalgic as I get older for the music of my childhood (proudly Gen X!), but enjoy just about any genre.

Teach, Learn, Share
I have a deep passion for learning about the history and culture of different countries, and I’m always eager to expand my understanding of the world. I’d especially love to hear about the local history of the area and appreciate any tips or insights you can share!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love engaging in meaningful conversations, whether it’s about what’s happening in the world, sharing past experiences, or just talking about life. I’m always curious to hear different perspectives, but I also know how to keep things light and fun! As a guest, I’m neat, polite, and happy to lend a hand—especially with the dishes!
