Hello everyone!

I'm Helena, a 23 year old girl from Barcelona. I have a degree in Economics, I took a great gap year after it (backapacked/did some workaways in Morocco, Peru, and Italy), and right now I'm doing a MSc in Environmental Sciences in the Netherlands! Still I would like to include a bit of adventure in my life, so I'm creating this Couchsurfing account to explore this more Northern part of Europe through the eyes of the locals and have some stories/cultural exchange.

I am an easy-going, and open-minded person. My hobbies include outdoor-nature sports (like hiking, cycling, and skiing), doing yoga, cooking and -even more- eating vegeterian;). I also love spending time with my family and friends, whether it's laughing or having deep conversations about anything and everything. I consider myself a pretty independent person and that's why I also like to have some alone time to just think, read or listen to music. And of course... I love travelling! And everything that comes with it: meeting new people from all different backgrounds, getting to know the culture of the country, its history, visiting all the amazing places and practicing different languages.

!!! I will include that I have a boyfriend named Davide, because at times, I might be travelling and using CS along with him. He's 24, from Napoli, and we met during the Erasmus we did in Ljubljana (Slovenia)! He's very cool and smart, and he also really likes to travel and meet new people! He appears in my profile pictures as well :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even if my 'full-time' job is studying for a MSc, I still want to get the real travelling experience, so I expect CS will allow me to meet new people and share some good times and talks!

I loooooooove seeing live music: jazz, jam sessions, whatever it is!
My old time favourite genre is indie rock; but I'm also getting more interested in Spanish music.

Favourite books: Wonder, The Book Thief, Wild: from lost to found in the PCT, The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair.

Favourite films: La la land, Les Misérables, etc.
