About Me

[Please note that i am currently unable to host couchsurfers due to personal reasons, but i might be available for a meet up]

CURRENT MISSION

Frame The World with my DSLR.

ABOUT ME

There are so many things to tell about me.
Can I tell you when I meet you?
Or you would want to observe by yourself when we meet?

PHILOSOPHY

It is all right to do anything as long as we do not harm others.

Do something to help others while we can, and when we are able to do so.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have never heard about CS Project, until one of my friends has actually shared this with me. He told me about this community, what they do, and how they do. I find it really interesting. I went to bookshop and bought a book about CS. Someone wrote about his experience in hosting and surfing other's couch.

I would like to learn more about what Couchsurfers do and see how I can get involved to make this community grow. I have had my first surfer who has came on 15July2011. I wish I can have a chance to host more CS members.

Interests

Photography
Picked up this hobby ( in a more serious manner ) since 2009. If you are interested to see my photography, feel free to visit http://www.flickr.com/photos/hiyintiong .

Chinese Classical Music
Already become part of my life since the first day I joined the school classical music orchestra in 1981. The instrument I play is erhu ( a stringed instrument, in chinese,二胡 ). Of course i like other instruments too, like dizi ( chinese flute ) and percussion.

Books
Not a book worm, but i like books. Many people said "practical is better than theory", so they also think that by reading the theory you do not know how it is in reality. But, in my opinion, most of the "theory" written in books are also the essence from "practical" and "real life experience". 90% of my photography knowledge and skills are from books. So, who says a book worm does not know the outside world? ^^

Travelling
When i was young, i really did not understand how come there were people writing "travelling" in their hobby column. In 2004, i had a chance to fly to Shanghai for business trip. That started my era of travelling. And now, if i were to write my hobbies, travelling will definitely be one of them.
