We are a young family who loves to have fun wherever we are and whoever we are with. We have 2 kids and a cute French bulldog Who are epic fun and get amoungst our social atmosphere, also while being able to give our guests their own space offering a 2nd living area. We have a 4 bedroom house, 2mins walking distance to the Mount Pleasant shopping centre and bus stop.
We have a large swimming pool, motorbikes, motor home, and heaps of room to relax and chill out (in air-con!! Haha)
We have a successful business so are quite busy all the time and I am also studying to become a nurse so lots of variety in our lives :)

We are an easy going family originally from New Zealand and we love meeting new people and hearing other people's experiences while sharing ours.

We would be so stoked if people would like to come and stay with us while on your travels.

I also love to cook so that's winning in itself haha

We just love to live life to the full with no regrets. We have a great, reliable and trustworthy reputation in Mackay which is comforting, which is why our door is always open :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why not? We have the room, love to help people make their dreams happen and we want to open our horizons on what else is out there through other people's lives if they r willing to share. We r thrill seekers and have absolutely not slowed down in regards to our social life and adventures as we have created a family. But obviously balance and communication is the key!
If not, we respect that and you will most probably move on from our home with a promising mindset...or just to meet some cool people passing through and hear some random yarns! How good! You only live once and there is not enough time to not be experiencing life. Especially with people who potentially are from a place we have never even heard of! Epic!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helped out starving children in 3rd world countries, opening our doors to people in need, we have seen suffering, death, pain, heartbreak, but also extreme happiness and excitement. I have been through post depression and anxiety and come out the other side so we have seen some dark tunnels and successfully saved people. We have been confronted with pretty much everything you could imagine between us and accept life for what it is. One chance, only once do you get the opportunity to peak and experience things you would never dream of. We see the better in things and all sides of the story. We can party like no tomorrow but also know when to pull or heads in. We absolutely adore people who have lived and are retired. We cannot get enough of wise old stories and how the world was and how it has evolved. Our elders r exceptionally impressive... Hang on... I'm starting to sound like Big freak haha. I may be a bit passionate about this new adventure! It's sooo us! I sound like a preacher... Haha not even. We r so casual and cruzy and we often have people pop in daily to say gidday so there's always enough food ...or alcohol on the table for more :)
We put in to people what we expect to be given back in regards to trust and respect. We love toys and money and materialistic things but can 100% settle for a camp site under the stars with a minimalistic mind frame. Why not strive to find what your personal best is. Life's to short to have barriers. Strip down and enjoy every moment for what it is. Just keep trying, keep traveling, keep experimenting regardless of ur age, ethnicity or barriers.

Teach, Learn, Share

We know a bit about everything we think haha. I love to teach good health and fitness, how to have a good time and step out of your comfort zone, being happy and content, pushing personal limits, positivity, cooking, love, friendships. I'm all about the glass half full and mindfulness. Dean is hands on and practical. He is an impeccable business owner and loves to help people find endless opportunities, he loves teaching how to use your initiative and how to be a good human, he loves adrenaline and interesting people that know how to hold a convo. He is completely content but very motivating. Dean is generous with his success and would give away the shirt off his back if he saw that somebody else would benefit more. he is so much fun and is a complete clown. He is my inspiration. He is an auto sparky originally by trade b4 building his own business from the ground up which now we have many employees and great opportunities. Dean has a huge passion for fixing and building motors and inventions, he spends his spare time with our friends or being the best dad and husband possible. This is sometimes hard to believe bcos he is a party animal and the class clown, but in saying that he also loves down time. Dean often takes on new staff and he is 100% willing to take on board anyone who I keen to do some labour work if anyone needed some money. He loves to teach his ways and he thrives on other people's achiements which is mind blowing. You will know what I mean about us when u meet us.
We both love and respect people from All walks of life, I truly thrive on helping people and making a difference no matter how big or how small.
He's a family man through and through and we have a great open minded life. We definitely do not do things in halfs and we'd show u the best time here In Mackay and surrounding areas of course! We have lots of cars to choose from to go exploring if that's something u would be interested in.
We do anything we set our minds too and mostly succeed regardless of the outcome. We have the understanding that every individual and their capabilities are different and everyone has different interests and skills. We love to make people see themselves as successful, not always materialistic things but to be content with what you have got. We are Always pushing for bigger opportunities and skills and love helping and watching and we r so excited to meet new people from the other side of the world or continent, or street! Haha
We love helping build peoples self confidence and allowing people to feel welcome and at home regardless of your background or past experiences.
