About Me

Please respect that

1. I am neither looking for a partner nor a hookup, so do not confuse Couchsurfing with mattress surfing ;-P
2. I accept friendship requests only from people who I have met in person
3. CS is *not* a free hotel or airbnb

~~~ To all true Couchsurfing Fellas ~~~
As a scanner, I am interested in almost everything and constantly have to learn and improve myself, otherwise I get bored quickly ;)
Planning is my passion, but there is also space for crazy things to do spontaneously (like throwing water bombs).
Caution: I am honest and not very sensitive, I say the first thing that comes into my mind.
Unfortunately I am allergic to cats, dust, coffee/ tea and cream (dairy).
I do love good food and am addicted to chocolate! :D
I enjoy bouncing on my trampolin, gymnastics or aquafitness. I am like a dog who has to be taken for a daily walk in nature to recharge my batteries. I also like swimming and dancing in the rain ;)
♤♤♤ Philosophy ♤♤♤
It is better to regret what you have done than keep regretting what you have missed.
I am not impressed by money, social status or job title.
I am impressed by the way someone treats other human beings, animals and nature.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why I am at Couchsurfing:
If I wasn't allergic to dust, I would have become a carpenter. My heart opens with a warm wave in my chest everytime I see a waltzing or wandering craftsman, the so called 'Journeyman'. The guild codex of being honest and kind is inspiring in itself and this spark reignites my faith in Good.
The way of traveling with very little luggage, neither money nor cellphone is impressing and taught me to get along with little and live a happy, grateful life. The idea of board and lodging in exchange for work experience fascinates me. I am grateful that there are still honourable people keeping customs alive and the tradition to gain experience on the road. The tradition of the Journeyman Brotherhood is centuries old, originating in the Craftsmen Guilds of Europe during the Middle Ages and it is still practiced! That is so amazing, I just love it! :)
I would have been proud to be part of the Journeyman Brotherhood myself.
Hosting Couchsurfers feels a bit similar. Offering a free place to sleep for good company and stories in exchange. The sight of a Journeyman encourages me to trust foreign people just because they are part of this community. I'd like to share this motivation with Couchsurfers. In this way we can get in touch with interesting people from all over the world, broadening our horizons by sharing knowledge about life experiences, cultures, habits, religions - and food!
God, I regret that I will never be able to taste all that great edible stuff in the world! 😋
How I participate in Couchsurfing:
By hosting, surfing, hanging out and attending meetups and events.
Since I am pedantic and neat, hosting is a great way of therapy. I learned so much about myself and became much more relaxed.
Sharing smiles :)
Interests
I am fascinated by all topics concerning how the brain works, psychology, communication and differences between male and female and all divers possibilities in between.
You could call me a herbal witch, I love collecting what nature offers and cook tasty snacks.
When I am in the mood, I scream my lungs out at karaoke.
Formerly I used to watch car races (DTM, 24h), soccer and ski jumping, but gave up watching tv a long time ago.
My dream is to go on a racing taxi at Nürburgring, driven by Hans-Joachim Stuck, Walter Röhrl or Matthias Ekstrøm.
I'd like so see aurora borealis, watch elefants and giraffes at a foto safari, go on a husky sled or snowmobile.
Someday I'd like to go ziplining, rafting and canyoning as well as climbing in Sächsische Schweiz/ Elbsandsteingebirge.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to cook for you
walking your dog
good talks and sharing experiences
In my opinion the difference between airbnb and Couchsurfing - despite the free accomodation - is to show interest in my host's life. I try to be a good company, be tidy and respect other people's property and during my stay become part of the family, join in the cleaning and adapt to the houserules. A hotel or airbnb I choose based on the room and location. A Couchsurfing accomodation I choose based on my sympathy towards the host.
