Hi. I am Hyeji choi. I am a person who tries to come true my dream, counselor and writer to help people happy.

I have grown up in Korea. From the very beginning of my teenage, my dream was to help people so that they can be happy, so I decided to be counselor because as you know it's helpful just to have someone listen to you.

I tried as much as I could to experience many things during my university because I thought the more I experienced, the more people I could understand and listen to them better. For example, I worked at a restaurant, a cafe, a school, convenience store, study room(this is Korean thing. This place is for just studying. The people who need to concentrate on just study come here and study.), and a private school. I also participated in Politic events and protests to support the rights of disbilites and the weak people in society. Besides, I volunteered at a local children care centre as tutor and counsellor for two years.

In my university, I majored in education and minored in psychology in university to understand people better and learn how to teach people about happiness.

I want every people to be able to happy. I know how it will sound like, but I think one of the purpose of life might be happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I heard about Couch surfing, I thought it was very cool just as it sounded like. That was because Even though we travel to other countries, it's very hard meet local people in the country, but couch surfing let us meet the people there! Of course we can save money to borrow the host's couch^^

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is that I came to Canada. I made 5 goals when I was first grade in my university, and going to another country and living there for one year was one of them. I was so scared of coming to Canada because I've never taken airplane before at the moment, and I couldn't speak in English at all.. lol.

However, I am happy that I experience myself who I even didn't know well before I came to Canada. Like.. What I really want to do....What I really good at without language(lol because I sucked at English, I could tell what I really could do when I couldn't speak well)
